Updated Guide to Concrete Construction

01 Apr 2010

The second revised edition of CCANZ’s Guide to Concrete Construction is now available. It is a popular New Zealand text covering the constituents of concrete, the manufacturing and supply of concrete, concreting and related site practices, along with concrete properties, specifying, ordering and testing.

The guide will be of interest and value to everyone who is involved, or likely to become involved, in the specification or use of concrete in projects of any size – designers (architectural, engineering and draughting), construction companies, suppliers and contractors (both on and off the construction site).

For some readers, the guide will provide all the information they will need. For others, it will serve as a valuable introduction to the subject prior to undertaking a more in-depth study.

Site personnel will find the guide of particular benefit, since it explains fully why various procedures – such as compacting and curing – are important, as well as making recommendations on how they should be carried out.
